| Customer Reviews: Top Quality Hidden Objects Game November 17, 2009 C. Deschamps (Denver, CO) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've played many HOG and find it harder and harder to keep my interest past the 60 minute trial. However, this one has beautiful, sharp graphics and a unique twist on the seek and find genre. I bought it right when the trial expired, which is something I rarely do. Each level has key objects that you must identify before receiving your "list" of items to find that are specific to that key object. Some objects just animate when activated, others reveal further clues. There is also a puzzle at the end of each level. They aren't difficult, but they break up the monotony of finding objects. Overall, a great game.
Fun Puzzles inside Puzzles January 1, 2010 Pamela E. Berkley 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am on my second time of playing the game. I had to use a lot of hints the first time around since some of the objects are so obscure. So, now I am trying to play it with fewer hints. It is well worth the price and I can see myself replaying after not playing for awhile. The graphics are well done and while I usually skip through the story line, I actually watched these. Highly recommend it to puzzle lovers.
Good game, but short January 16, 2010 J. Richmond (Iowa) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a very good game, but it was very short. It only took my 5yr old son and I about 2.5 hours to complete. The ending is poor. It just stops.
Difficult and frustrating April 12, 2010 P. Sherman (Greenville, FL USA) Based on the previous reviews, maybe it's just me. I'm not an idiot, I play a lot of these games, but this was just a massive waste of time. Searching, searching, searching, hint just make a nice little jingly noise but does no good. I only have about an hour a night after dinner to play these games, and this has taken up too many of those hours with no progress. I have covered every pixel of the screen (twice!) looking for the magnifying glass in case the item is hidden in something.... nothing.
If you are either far better than me at these games, or you have endless days to spend on it (how could someone say this was too short? Is there a cheat I don't know about?), go for it. I used up my 30 minutes of free time (Amazon regrettably only gives you 30 minutes, which is not nearly enough to assess a game) and thought there was potential--bought the game and have now deleted it. What a waste of time and money.
